Peace & Quiet (Yellow-Sided Green Cheek Conures, brother and sister). They are my babies whom I love very much and they are such a blessing.
Shalom :)

I have noticed a habit that seems to have stirred up whenever I try to get my Sibling Green Cheek Conures out of their cage - the girl tries to bite me, namely if I've been gone the majority of the day (when I get back at 5:00 pm to let them out) or when I place them in the cage in the early morning after letting them out for awhile in the morning before work. It has become a bad habit and I've checked her on it, so I am wondering where it is coming from. I come home and let them out of their cage whenever I get back and try to make certain they get a lot of quality time together - and on other things, including driving together to places or doing road trips (longest being 7 hrs to North Carolina from Georgia). I don't know if she's expressing anger at me or being cranky since only she does so, whereas her brother doesn't do that at all.

It could be any variety of things. It could be hormones, it could be moodiness. It could also be a reaction to your interaction with the male. How hard are the bites? Are they "play bites" or actual hard bites.

Best way for us to advise you is to take note of exactly what is going on when she is biting so we can get a better idea of the environment.

I agree, it's most-likely hormonal...So they are brother/sister? And they live together in the same cage...Have you thought about what you're going to do if/when they start mating? They are obviously bonded to each other closely, so it's only a matter of time before they start mating, they don't care that they are siblings...and you certainly cannot breed siblings, inbreeding birds is just asking for trouble...this biting may be your signal that their hormones are flaring and that they need to be living in their own cages. You can put their cages right next to each other, but I would seriously separate them soon, before they start to breed...
