My boring two cents on pellets! :)

Harrison's Bird Foods

I feed Harrison's, supplemented by fresh healthy treats. My first, and later, my current avian vet recommended it. My bird loves the pellets now, but to get him converted, my avian vet suggested putting pellets out all day, and putting seeds (his old diet) out for two 15-minute periods a day. That would sustain him but leave him hungry enough to try new stuff. I presume the same technique could be used to get him to eat other healthy stuff, like fruits and vegetables! My guy was eating pellets in a couple of days, and now I can feed a good variety of other stuff, knowing he has the pellets as a basic. Pellets are out all day... fresh treats a few times a day. I also like Harrison's via mail because I never have to worry about out-of-date products.
I might ask them what they recommend for GCCs. I have always found them very responsive.
Good for you, for researching!

Roudybush is great, but those in the link are for larger parrots, you need the size for Conures/Cockatiels or "small/medium" parrots.

As already mentioned, Tops, Harrisons, and another that is great is Tropican, all recommended by my CAV. I switched my guys all over from Zupreem Natural to Tropican pellets and Tropimix seed-mix about a year ago, including my Green Cheek, and he absolutely loves the Tropican pellets. Any of the above will be great for your Conure, as long as they are the proper size. Too large and then tend not to eat them.

If you have trouble converting him over to whatever you choose, then you may want to try a different brand to see if he likes them a bit better.

Thanks! Im torn between buying a 2.75 lb or 10lb bag of the mini pellets. I don't wanna buy the 25 lbs if it doesn't end up liking it.

I know Tops was recommended, but my birds, conure or otherwise, refuse them.
It may be the slick, machine flavor.

Excellent choices for GCCs are a mix of Harrison's, Roudybush, Zupreem NATURAL and crushed Nutriberries with fresh chop provided separately. Change its water throughout the day as it will be used to clean its beak and to drop food.

Your GCC will love bathing and will bathe in its drinking water even if an additional large bowl is provided daily. That's another reason for changing the water throughout the day!

Whichever pellets you choose, avoid fruity pellets and get the correct size. In a pinch, cockatiel-sized food or pellets will suffice.

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Many healthy choices are available, but birds are fickle! I'd recommend purchasing a small bag of your targeted brands and see if they are consistently eaten.

I'm not doubting the product, I obviously bought it. This is just my experience with my birds.
