Hello!

I just wanted to make an update on how my babies are doing. It's been a while, I've been busy and just overall not up to posting much but!!! I'm so excited to share these pictures. It's so hard to get my babies in one frame together because they just love doing their own thing and jumping around everywhere.

They are all nearly 8weeks old. They are starting to eat more by themselves but are still feed by the parents during the day a few times. They take baths, are starting to chirp and sass back, they hate it when it's bed time and complain loudly for at least five minutes before giving up and settling down for sleep. They now sleep in perches. They love being together and playing and rolling around. They play fight a lot and scream really dramatically before chilling and going at it again lol. They love to chase down their parents when they see them holding something new with their toes. They get angry if you mess with their toys and started to fly last week!! The two eldest did anyway, the youngest one still only practices how to flap his wings.

It's crazy that this whole mess started back in July with the first egg and then late August with my first baby hatching to today. I know they still have a long way to go and I'm looking forward to them being fully fledged.

I still don't know what they are but will be DNA testing them soon, I hadn't been able to due to lack of funds :p

I cannot stress how hard it was to get them all in one frame. They just go wherever they want and to whoever they want when they're out.

Their personalities are shinning through and two of them are crazy little guys.

ahhhhhhh they're all so cute!

You've really done an amazing job with these tiny 'accidents', all 3 look like they're very well socialized and happy to be around people

What a great update, they all look and sound very healthy, playful and rambunctious!

I was wondering also, do you plan to keep them all? Glad things are going so well with their weaning.

Thank you!!! I'm so happy they are growing up well. It's been a lot of ups and downs and a few scares but things are going well.

We are keeping them all. It's just a really hard thought to part with them and let others adopt them. I can't imagine separating them unless completely necessary.

I'm already looking into a cage big enough for all of them hopefully once they can be apart from their parents.

Also excited to pick out names for them once we know their sex!! Right now we're calling them mini-Booger and mini-Darling and mini-mini-Darling lol :D

They are cute :smile015:I have a question: what's colors are their parents? I'm asking because if male is pineapple, DNA test won't be necessary ( pineapple will be a female and other two males). If female is pineapple, this will be necessary to do

Ha, a lot of people find it hard to part with babies they raise :)

Remember, if you have both males and females in the group, once they hit sexual maturity and hit puberty they won't care if they are related and WILL mate with each other. So....just something to think about. Most people don't even think about this, they are all siblings now yes but they do grow up and have hormones take over and birds....well... they don't really care if they are related, brother will bond and mate with sister if given the chance.

You can just tell by sight with Pinapples from the parents?? I didn't know that

Dad is a pineapple, mom is a yellow sided.

I think I'll still send in for a test either way but! Let me know :)

I was definitely thinking about this when looking into cages. I definitely wouldn't want them to mate together once they are older. Whole reason why I want to get them DNA tested just to make sure if they can all be in the same cage once they reach that age. I keep hoping they'll all be males or all females but those chances are so slim LOL.
