I consider myself a reasonably good parront. I keep Syd's home clean, provide plenty of stimulation of the playing kind with toys etc. Teach him new words regularly and generally do my best to help him keep entertained. BUT if I inadvertently leave a plastic carrier bag anywhere he takes possession and rebuffs any attempt by me to remove it.
Yesterday I went up into the loft and got the Christmas decos ready for the holiday onslaught and stupidly left one carrier with some bits that I needed today on the side. No sooner had he had breakfast than he made a direct flight to aforementioned plastic and took up residence.
If I approach his beak is open his wings lifted and he's giving me the evil eye as if I am the worst person on the planet.
It comes to something when my position in life sinks several degrees below a rotten plastic carrier bag. He might as well just go ahead and call me an old bag. THat's one word I definitely won't be teaching him!
