Hello,
We have been so busy this holiday season and now we have done something really special! We decided to get Paris a friend (no not in the same cage, I am not insane). I am hoping that even if they never share a cage or get on super well that Paris will at least have someone to talk to and relate to that is more her size without and HUGE beak flying at her face all the time (I am talking to you Finley). Without further adieu meet:
North!
She (dna pending) is a black capped conure and now we officially have 4 different types of conures at out house! North is about 7 weeks old and weaned and has been eating solids because I saw her. She still isn't sure of where the water is so I have to offer it to her now and then so she gets used to it. We have had her about 20 hours as of now. She is a bit scared and a bit nippy and doesn't know how to "step up" but we're working it already. I am not a fan of just leaving the bird along for a week or whatever, bleh. The earlier they trust humans the better and I am not scared of a few bites here and there. Anyways if anyone has a black capped conure any advise would be welcome.
