Quincy won't have anything to do with any fruits. I've tried everything, smashing it, chopping it, mixxing them......he will eat those little orange gummy looking pieces that are in his seed mix.

Quincy is a cutie! Mine won't eat leafy greens. They're all so picky

Gorgeous bird, veggies better than fruit anyway. Have you tried blackberries, or plums or cherries? Pomegranate, or cranberry? Those are a bigger hit for me.

lol, thats funny cause Skittles is just the opposite. If he sees grapes, apples, strawberries or broccoli he goes nuts!

But I can't get him to eat mango or carrot.

My GCC used to loooooove raspberries. He would rip them apart and fling the bits everywhere until his cage looked like a murder scene. Not sure how much he actually ingested but he sure had fun:)

what a beautiful birdie, lovely colours

it took us 7 years to finally notice that yellow peppers don't bite... also did you know that brussel sprouts aren't poison?  :D

the veggies are an enemy in our home it seems... but she goes crazy for fruit - banana, oranges, apples, grapes,... - to some she even knows the word now so if you ask her if she wants a banana she will fly into the kitchen, land on the table, waddle over to the bananas and call for you to come and peel one for her, it's co cute :D

you could try dried veggies/fruits. pretty sure those orange gummy things are dried papayas too, you could try fresh papaya if your bird already likes those.

Same thing happened with clark, he eats most fruits...

He loves those dried out banana chips, so I thought, I'm brilliant, I'll buy some fresh bananas we can eat....

Nope...no interest at all, but oooo I'll have some of those banana chips!

I cannot get Skittles to eat mango, papaya or star fruit- three fruits the vet said I should feed him (if I'm gonna give him fruit). I managed to get him to try mango though through an unconventional way. I bought some Dole Orange-Peach-Mango 100% juice and he LOVES it. So he gets 'some' mango, however small the amount. He doesn't know it but I outsmarted him on this one. hehe. I know, not much of a victory but its a start.
