The Rocky has become superstar at our home,
But
He is not ready to even look at cage, just don't want to stay in the cage for a second.
He want to be with me , or my son , or my daughter, he has become fast friend of three of us,
When I come to home he tries to fly towards me,
He is happy on floor wandering here n there, most of the time chasing my son,
In these days my son n daughter has vacations , but what will happen when their schools will reopen?
At 11 pm Roky gets in his brooder himself and yells to put him in store lights off and door closed. Then he sleeps till 8 am without any disturbance.
Feed:
He is just taking formula feed, nothing else, not tasting any fruits or veg,

Is this all going all right ? Or not ??

Is he even weaned yet?
To me, this does not look good for a "weaned" parrot that was ready for adoption.
But let more experienced owners kick in here.

How old is Rocky?

How often do you give him formula?

If he is still taking hand rearing formula I would hazard he is still quite young. All you can do is make sure he has available other food stuff to play with even if he doesn't yet eat them. Eventually he will realize that he can feed himself and not have to wait to be fed. Every bird is different when it comes to weaning so don't stress too much about it.

Sometimes you have to be the stern parent and ignore the tantrums about the cage. Birds will take you for a ride just like a human child. If they can manipulate you to get what they want they will with no hesitation.

When your children go back to school Rocky will adapt. He'll be cranky and bite more as he takes it out on everyone his displeasure in the change but eventually he'll come around. You just have to adapt to the changes just like he will.

I'm sure others will have more to add and more to ask.

Wait...wait...wait, just one minute, What type of bird are we talking about? If he's not weaned, and it certainly reads like he's not weaned, who will feed him when everyone goes back to work and school? If he's feeding on formula, thats good.... but he has to learn to crack seed at some point, knowing what type/species of bird you have will give us a much greater idea of where your at. Your baby needs to know the inside of the cage is it's safety zone, a lot of birds won't allow their owners to reach in to get them, they know that's their protected space, so many owners open the door, and when the bird emerges from the inside of the cage, they then handle the bird. There's a lot of questions pending on the type and species of the bird, please tell us that, along with a picture would be very helpful so that we may give you adequate advice of what needs to be done, and planning that needs to be done.

Not to worry I think, as the kids will be away to school for 6 hours only.

I drop kids to school at 7 am , then I come back, and leave for the office around 11 am, the kids are back by 1.30 pm.

Issue is not his feed, issue is his stay, in cage,

See the picture , I have put the seeds in cage for his practice.

I have one other parrot, Tweety, a cockatiel. A 9 months old lady,

She is quite, speaks for second in the whole day, love these seeds and other things like green veg ,

We had an Alexandrine too ,we raised him from 20 days old of age till he is 60 days almost, but my nephew and niece took him to their home a couple of days ago,

He is quite happy there.

So now we have just Roky and Tweety,
