I know this ain't Conure but I'm a conure guy so will post it here.
This guy clearly did not understood parrot's body language. This couldn't end any other way.

Wow all the warning signs are there but that person didn't know what to look for. I was ready the comments (don't do it ever) and people anthropomorphize animals way too much. Most likely she thought the parrot was enjoy it from vocalizations and the wings outspread.

OMG!
The comments are hilarious .... "...domestic violins ":D

Seriously, reading body language is very important when you don't speak a language.

Yellow Shoulder Amazon, Salty
S'funny, Salty loves when we bring him into the studio when we rehearse/record. He tried to eat my fiddle one time, and has been known to chew on the mic cables occasionally, but usually he sits and listens and sometimes sings with us. Which means that take of the song has to be scrapped. Silly bird.

This guy was obviously paying more attention to his intonation than to his parrots body language.

DYH Amazon
Nothing like a Northern Argentina, Blue-Fronted Amazon (size defined) providing all the 'known' Amazon Body Signals and a few extra just for good measure.
Hmmm. I'm guessing that the Amazon likes Ms Dion!. But was not happy with the Violinist filling in for her!
The true joy (sorry violinist) was the comments by the Amazon while off-screen and after climbing back-on set. That Amazon's humorous statements are side-splitting!!!

With Parrots: Never Assume!
Reminds me of a famous statement: Trust, but Verify!

YSGC, Love your point: "...domestic violins ":D

That should have been a scene straight out of "Dueling Banjo's" I guess we can safely assume that parrot is not a music fan! and I'm sure since the violinist was blind to all the warning signs issued of "Shut up and get out" He's got the full unadulterated version now!! Dang that was good, Think I'll watch that again!!

I know this may not be 'specific' to this thread, but I noticed you said you were a "conure guy". First off, my sympathies. This can be a very difficult condition to deal with. Soon, your obsession with conures will likely take control over your life and you'll be seeing "conure" everywhere and talking conures and spending hours of looking at conures on the internet when your conure is asleep. You will also likely dress in conure tshirts and hang giant framed pictures of your conure(s) all over your house. But not to worry, its not a fatal addiction- unless of course you defy your conure. hehe

Well I'm already past that point. And I don't feel bad about it. I'd rather say, quite the contrary. I'm a Conure junkie and I love it. Right now I'm few hundred kms away from my birb and gues what? I'm watching Conure vids and writing posts in the Conures section. So I'm already loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooost........:orange:

You gotta be tough but fair with conures. They remind me of the 'hungry ghosts' of southeast asian culture - basically emotionally needy mofo's.

They'll call you, make you feel like you are ignoring them. But the upper/lower dynamic of animist social strata - still alive and well in human politics I daresay - is very relevant to birds and if they get you to do their will with one volley of calls, they'll keep doing it for sure. The key is to know what they need as well as they do, and give it to them when they need it. Good luck!
