Lenny (Turquoise Green Cheek Conure)
Hello! I haven't posted here in a bit. Lenny has been doing great except for tonight. My sister sneezed and he flew and hit the windows. It wasn't too hard but you could hear it. He was breathing with his mouth open and his tongue was going up and down. He seems to be doing better now, but I'm super worried. What should I do?

UPDATE: He's really tired and just sitting on my shoulder. He won't eat his favorite treats. Should I just give him a bit and see if he's okay? All vets are closed.

Amy a Blue Front 'Zon
Jonesy a Goffins 'Too who had to be rehomed :-(

And a Normal Grey Cockatiel named BB who came home with me on 5/20/2016.
When stressed or hot, birds will "pant" like doggo's and cat's,they don't "sweat" like humans do. Smacking into a wall or window no doubtedly freaked him out AND stressed him. Keep a close eye on Lenny tonight and see how he is in the morning. I have a feeling he'll be just fine. If he isn't then get him to a CAV asap!

Pico, gender unknown, is a hand-fed Yellow Sided Green Cheek Conure, born 2015.
Get Lenny to an avian vet. NOW!
Don't wait till it looks worse.

Birds are masters at hiding illness or injury.
I believe they do this so their flock won't kill them.
This happens because a sick bird is a risk to the entire flock.

Often by the time a bird looks worse it's too late. :(

UPDATE: Lenny is doing great this morning! He's flying around and playing like him old self. I'm not going to take him to the vet as he he gets really stressed out, and he isn't limping or anything. Thank you for your help last night.

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Hopefully Lenny was startled and just in temporary pain, not concussion. Please keep a close watch and do not hesitate to seek vet care if his condition deteriorates.
