Extremely worried for Lenny

Hello! I haven't posted here in a bit. Lenny has been doing great except for tonight. My sister sneezed and he flew and hit the windows. It wasn't too hard but you could hear it. He was breathing with his mouth open and his tongue was going up and down. He seems to be doing better now, but I'm super worried. What should I do?

Re: Extremely worried for Lenny

UPDATE: He's really tired and just sitting on my shoulder. He won't eat his favorite treats. Should I just give him a bit and see if he's okay? All vets are closed.

Re: Extremely worried for Lenny

When stressed or hot, birds will "pant" like doggo's and cat's,they don't "sweat" like humans do. Smacking into a wall or window no doubtedly freaked him out AND stressed him. Keep a close eye on Lenny tonight and see how he is in the morning. I have a feeling he'll be just fine. If he isn't then get him to a CAV asap!

Re: Extremely worried for Lenny

Get Lenny to an avian vet. NOW!
Don't wait till it looks worse.

Birds are masters at hiding illness or injury.
I believe they do this so their flock won't kill them.
This happens because a sick bird is a risk to the entire flock.

Often by the time a bird looks worse it's too late.

Re: Extremely worried for Lenny

Is there a 24/7 Emergency vet in or around your area? Where abouts in AZ are you?
