Marcy - double yellow Amazon
Mac - blue front Amazon
Loki - rosefront conure
Does anyone here know exactly what the conure is trying to accomplish with its nonstop nibbling? I was thinking salt or maybe looking for organic material as part of a desire to forage?

I guess the reason doesn't really matter but I would like to understand my friend a little better. She obviously gets mad when I don't understand when she squaws at me.

Another quick question. Generally how long does puberty last? She has gotten bratty.

I had read - perhaps on this forum or perhaps elsewhere - that, not having hands, the birdies use their beaks instead to explore. Is this what you're describing, or something else?

GCC Pineapple
When I have my Pineapple out of his cage, he will play for awhile and then jump down to me in the chair.
After walking around a bit, he will start nibbling at all of my clothes. It's as if he is searching for food. At this point, I usually put him back in his cage but he doesn't really go to his food bowl.
