5 month old Sun Conure
My Sun Conure is about to be 5 months.
I've had her since she was 3 months. She's made some different noises in the past but this one is WEIRD.
I'm not really that worried, I just want to know is it normal?
She get's all puffy (sometimes) and starts making dolphin sounds. It's the strangest thing.
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. :orange:

Could you post a video? My suns both make a weird squeaking noise sometimes, but it’s hard to guess if it’s the same sounds...

Without actually hearing it, I don't know that anyone could really give you a definitive answer. I will say this though, sunnies make all sorts of weird noises. Skittles will make 'froggy' and 'duck' noises regularly and that seems to be a regular thing with sunnies. He also makes 'squeak' noises.

It could just be that your sunnie is mimicking a sound she heard regularly or picked up along the way.

Pico, gender unknown, is a hand-fed Yellow Sided Green Cheek Conure, born 2015.
Pico makes frog and duck sounds too.
Even people out in public, especially kids, notice and comment on it.

I'm also curious about this dolphin sound.
One of the loudest sound Pico makes might be that sound.
He makes it when DEMANDING attention and his mellower vocalizations haven't worked.

It is a sharp EEH! sound he repeats at the top of his little lungs, around two or three per second.
He'll do it maybe 10 or 15 times, catch his breath, then repeat till he gets his way - or gets a time out. :)
