Remi and Petey - a month later

I can't believe it's already been a month since Remi got a roommate, Petey!
Things started off rocky between the birds but they are getting better about sharing the territory and us. They will most likely never share a cage, but that's fine. They can sit on the same couch without actively seeking to get into a squabble, so that's an improvement.
Having two birdies is a lot more work but it's more fun too. They are more animated and lively.
Petey is very smart and her flying skills are excellent. Remi still prefers to be carried around but has been flying a lot more than when he was a single bird. They do some flock activities together, I noticed. Like if one takes a bath in the water dish, the other one will do the same in the other water dish. Or eating - same thing.
We love having Remi and Petey and I think even though initially it seemed like a bad idea, I think we made a good choice getting a second bird.
Conures are a lot more work than cockatiels though ( I used to have two sweet cockatiels). They are just so much more temperamental and well, crazy, lol!

Aw, thank you!
We are happy too :)
This time, it's kind of special because both of those birds are rehomes, unlike my previous birds who were bought as babies. It's just a different kind of challenge and it feels good to help a birdie in need as well.
