Hi I have my little Crimson crested now almost a year old - Pepper is 11 mths now , Ive had her since 5mth ,... or she's had me? we are starting to bond, she will whistle and get my attention, quite friendly and comes out of her cage lots . I did consider getting another, but with good advice I decided we keep it simple and someone gets more attention " :rainbow1: I did have a time where she had a lot of black feathers on her back and I was worried something was wrong ... but on a visit to where I brought her from, decided some vitamins may help . Pepper was also in the middle of moulting, she was learning to preen and adjusting to her new home , plus I brought her a hammock bed that was snug- thinking give her a feeling of security at night - wrong - rubbing didn't help so now she has a larger one , which she loves and i always check for any threads and damage , (but she doesn't chew it) Her black is diminishing and replaced by beautiful green and blue feathers - her over preened tail and wing flight feathers are now coming in beautifully. Pepper is learning to fly properly , love her trying to fly to me but she's gaining confidence. I don't want to clip her wings but I do worry incase of loosing her but i love she has the ability to fly around - we will ponder more on that but i want her to learn her freedom and enjoy being a bird .

I love she looks better now she's getting colour and more grownup feathers - love see her with a tail, she's slowed down on preening so i feel she's not so stressed. she loves to play fight but still holds of on biting, i love i can handle her without worry that ill get bitten , although maybe one day i will, i hope she may talk an odd word , but im happy she whistles and wants my attention.

I'm so lucky to have her :green1::rainbow1:
