Hey there. I have a question. I apologize if this isnt the place to post it, I'm extremely new to this.

I have 2 conures and 3 budgies. It's now winter in Canada, and the temperatures in the basements are dropping. I have a heating dish ( https://www.costco.ca/presto-heatdish-plus-parabolic-heater.product.100511223.html ) that I'm using to keep my birds warm. I'm worried it is going to harm them, and could be fatal. Does anyone know anything about this product? I know things like teflon if toxic to birds. I feel bad not knowing about this topic, so I hope to get educated. Thank you!

Welcome! I couldnā€™t find any specs online that would tell me if it was safe or not. Best thing is to contact the manufacturer and ask if it is PFOA and PFTE free. We bird people often email manufacturers to find out if products are safe :).

I do use the k&H snuggle up bird warmer in my birdsā€™ cages K&H Snuggle Up Bird Warmer?, but these arenā€™t designed to heat a space up.
