Ok, so this is a cat toy that Hamlet is playing with, but I can't believe how crazy he gets with it ... and, he acts just like a cat with it. He stalks it, pounces on it and then bats it around ... it's a ton of fun to watch, so, I hope you enjoy the pics ... I know you will!

Hey, buddy, you talkin' to me?

Now, I throw you off the bridge and you 'sleep with the fishes!!!"

(I just want you all to know that the reason his head is cut out of this picture is because he raised himself so quickly I couldn't react to it ...)

This is Hamlet's morning rountine, he does this almost every morning before breakfast ... it's a really cute way to start our day!

Oh, there is a bell in the middle of this ball as well, it's also rubber so this one stands up really well ...

I buy a lot of dog toys for my guys, cheap and sturdy. :D

Hamlet certainly seems to be having so much fun with that, you can almost hear him. Tex I can't think of a better way to start the day off than watching our birds have real fun.

Brilliant pics thanks for letting us all share in the fun with you guys.

Yeah I got a big one of those for Bucc, I stuck it between the bars of his cage, he loves that thing, it gets used for many purposes, toy, perch, frustration breaker, and when he's in a real mood, he will try his hardest to get it out of the bars, all to no avail. But it keeps him entertained for ages. :D :D and because its between the bars he can play with it when he's in or out. A win win situation for everyone, well except the dogs and they can't reach it, believe me they have tried. :D :D

How cute. I think that we have one of those balls in the kids toyroom. I am going to have to start looking in there for fun things. My Birds love the small Konga balls filled with nuts, Rawhide Dog Bones. and fetch toys for small dogs. Just make sure the they are made of better quality materials. Some of the cheaper toys will pull apart. I really try to keep lots of things found in nature in their cages. I have found that they love lots of gumtree branches and a tree that one of the locals called a peppercorn tree. Our Galah tears through those branches. I also took a bunch of different types of small tree branches twice as wide as a pencil and cut them to pencil lengh. Mitilda loves to eat pencils which is not good. We have a 4th and 5th grader so pencils are always laying on the table. I also found that if I take the newspaper and roll it very tight and tie it with a peice of natural cotton string like you use in cooking and tie it to the top of their cage it will keep them busy for hours. Also lots of big peices of bark for them to tear at. (Not the glossy paper though) As everyone else We are always trying to come up with things that will keep our masters busy.

I forgot to add that we have two very thick horse leads attached to the top cage perches of both cages. The birds love to cross to the others cage for a visit. Banjo loves to go into Mitilda's cage and eat her seed. Mitilda loves to go and steal Banjo's apple. Both birds accept each other but are not attched as of yet. The leads are very thick and are made out of natural cotton. They are about 9-10 feet long and costed me about $15AU so they should be alot less in the US. I want to attach some dog pull toys to the leads as well that they can hang off of. My birds love purching on the ropes and haning upside down.
