Doobie, a Pineapple Green Cheek Conure baby about 6 weeks old (on May 11, 2020)
:33: Oh my gosh, I'm going crazy! I can't decide on a name for my baby - I've had him/her a week already and have changed it three times!

At first I waited to see what would fit. I decided on Snuggles. That lasted for one day because the next day Snuggles wasn't snuggly, he was chatty, so I changed his name to QwakQwak. QwakQwak didn't seem to fit the next day either so currently it is BeepBeep. Haha. Does anybody else seem to have this difficulty? As with all my other animals, once I have finally settled on a 'good' name, about two or three months later my brain comes up with a whole slough of 'better' names, but of course by that time my pet has learned their name and it is too late. Why is this so hard? Who knows, the name might just end up being "Birdie". Hey, it covers all the bases! lol :gcc:

Welcome.
Wellllllllllllllll... I think that you'll know when the right name pops up!
Meanwhile, you are a delightful new member, and your... Birdie... sounds as if he has already stolen your heart. I predict great things!
I'm glad you're here.

I have no doubt a perfect name will come to you. He's an adorable little munchkin. I've never had the luxury of naming any of mine, as they've all been rescues/rehomes. That's why I now have a lovely GIRL named Baxter :) Oddly, it suits her quite well, and she's the sweetest Zon I've ever met. ( But only for me lol)

Cairo the Ekkie!
I think a lot of times we put so much meaning into a name and feel like the name should describe the person (or bird). Like the name wears the person.

Instead, it should be the person wearing the name.

Our boy is named Cairo. We didn't give him that name. As far as we know, there's no meaning to it. But that's who he is - he's Cairo.

Don’t feel bad took us like a month to name sissy bird and today marks 5 years. Sissy got her name because just like you we couldn’t decide. First I got online and checked out different languages and meanings then I gave up. Then one day sissy got spooked I mean really spooked by her shadow and bang! The name sissy ..like in big ole sissy scared of her shadow. Don’t worrie it will come to you when you least expect it.
