hey guys im back...i just have 2 quick questiosn for discussion...number 1...is Harrisons adult lifetime fine or zupreem tropical blend better for conures? and are sunflower seeds bad for birds? i give her a couplek a week and im not sure if she should have them...oh yea might as well throw in another question...how many toys should i have inb my virds cage and should i have those wooden dowels in my birds cage or get something else that would be probably better for her?

Yes, sunflower seeds are like eating a bowl of french fries. Fat, fat.

I totally believe in the results of Harrisons any kind of bird food.

Yes, I agree with spiritbird. Harrison's all the way. Sunflower seeds are treats but I do think that a couple per week is not a bad thing (treats in moderation!). Nuts are a bit healthier as a treat and you can give little bits of nut more frequently (our vet said the equivalent of a half almond or so per day is OK. We usually give less than that but its what we use for training so its good to know they are OK). Just no peanuts. A variety of perches is best, so the dowels are OK as long as you have a few others as well, natural as Spiritbird suggested and maybe one cement perch (to help trim their nails - just don't make it the highest perch so that they don't sleep on it - too hard on the feet!).
