Hello, I have 4 parrots all of them have been together since 2017. All were babies with only intervals of two week difference. Three males one female. All of them loved each other. But out of the nowhere two of the males started fighting (Im not sure if it is because of the female, she was laying eggs and in a breeding state, first time) These two males used to cuddle together, all of them used to sleep together in a box. One is a yellowsided normal green cheeck and the other one is a suncheeck (greencheeck too, thats the name of the color mutation). That time the normal conure hurt the suncheeck from the beak and he was bleeding. one was inside the cage and the other one was free around the house, they fought through the cage bars. I separated and they didn’t see each other for 2 1/2 months until today. I thought they forgot already but apparently they didn’t. They wanted to fight. It seems like they wanted to kill each other. Will they ever be able to be together again? It seems they have a pretty good memory and after that long they remembered they wanted to fight. Or they will never be able to be together? Has anyone experience this? What can I do to get them be close as before? I dont know what to do.

They have become sexually mature and yiu have breeding behaviors hormones egg lay.
They need separate cages, but they can still be friends. Flock members would be able to give each other space and privacy in the wild , so they would have much less aggression .

They need there own space, but yes they can be friends and out together. But maybe not during breeding time when yiu have eggs, and somebody feels they are her mate. They are programmed to defend mate and nest. They are also flock members so they know how to be friends. But artificial closes during breeding time , nit being able to retreat and have privacy and space to them selves is the cause

Rio,male, yellow sided green cheeked conure.
i used to have two lovebirds, one male and one female. they were very happy together for the first few months but after some time, they began fighting a lot. one day, the male started to bleed and from then , we considered getting a seperate cages for them . they were maturing and fighting over their space . but , the next day , the male died . the breeder said that she would get lonely and told us to return her to him. so we did that . your birds may be fighting over space and you should consider getting seperate cages for them .
