My GGC has developed a pickyness for pellets he love them. We have a seed pellet mix now he picks out the small seeds first then all the pellets leaving the sunflower and pumpkin. He eats a decent amount of fresh foods and veggies. Here comes the question. My husband trying to find a higher pellet blend bought a pure pellet mix for cockatiels and love birds. Is this okay or should I find something else?

Should be just fine! Those pellets should be almost identical in size to any small conure pellet. Make sure the main diet is an undyed, pellet-only feed supplemented with lots of fresh veggies :)

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Many believe a quality pellet mix + abundant fresh veggies and fruits is ideal diet for most parrots. Almost any pellet is superior to an all-seed diet. That said, birds can be extremely fussy about pellets, so the "best" pellet may be the one your bird eats. Zupreem Fruit Blend has high acceptance rate because of added corn, sugars, and rich colors. They produce a light tan colored "natural" version.
