Sleeping...

So our conures sleep in a weird arrangement lately. Our Black Capped with the handicap is at the bottom, with River the turquoise GCC to her left. And then Summer, our pineapple GCC to her right but standing on top of her with one foot and holding on to the cage with the other. They are doing this every night now. I’m sure it’s fine, it’s just funny to see.

Picture is fuzzy because I didn’t want to turn on the lights.

they make sea grass huts, they might like that
, or you could offer a corner wood platform.

I haven’t done the huts because of aggression it can lead to. They have a corner platform but still prefer this arrangement. They have a quite large H Q cage that is 32 or 36 inches wide. Yet they always want to be together. They are their own little family.

I have used huts for 18 years with no problem...
( not the fluffy threads ones!!!)
Conures do seem to prefer sleeping this way. I did find some studies on wild conures using cavity year round and nit just breeding season. Of course not saying your birds need one! Just say conures are different than other parrots . And results could vary

Still they are happy abnd too cute for wirds

I've never seen my GCC when she sleeps. Of course I cover the cage, but didn't always.
She is so lively. She can be heard at night playing with her bell and ball... Wonder if I could get a night vision shot?

Lol! They remind me of ewoks or something out of the Labyrinth for some reason. Very cute lol!
