Does anyone elses green cheek have a crease going down his chest? It kinda freaked me out because he took a bath and i could see his skin. The best way I could describe it is almost looks like an old school heart surgery scar. Its just his feathers not the actual skin. He doesnt pluck any feathers but he is very young (10 weeks) could that be why? Or is this something thatll fill out in his next molt?

Hello there GreenCheek44! Are you able to post a picture of the crease you are seeing? Is it actually on his skin or on his feathers?

Does it look anything like the crease on my cockatiel Fang's chest? (Please ignore the "bloodstains" on his beak - he had just been eating my lorikeet's raspberries!)

Creases in the feathers like this are quite normal and nothing to worry about. The following link may help you to post a picture if you're not quite sure how.

Hope we can help you :)

B&G Macaw, Galah, 5 cockatiels, 50 billion and a half budgies. We breed and do rescue. Too many to list each individual's name and age etc, but they are each individuals and loved dearly.
If you are describing what I think you are, yeah it's normal. Blow on your bird's chest and the feathers puff out and separate. You can see their skin and the keel bone thru it usually.
