Re: Conure going thru first moult? Plz help!

moEDIT; I saw your last post with blood in poop. Sign of metal poisoning or illness. In light if that what you describe can be seizures!!!!! Also go with metal poisoning! Fluffed equals sick bird!! Head bobbing can be regurgitation, also a sign of metal poisoning. You must get your burd evaluated by an avain veterinarian. Metals poisoning can be treated, or if it is sick he can be treated. You will likely loose your bird if you do nothing

Below im leaving. For others . But you have a bird with signs of blood in stool. So I believe your symptoms are seizures!

" How do I know if my bird has lead poisoning?
The clinical signs include weakness (which can be profound), altered mentation, lack of appetite, paralysis of the legs, circling, tremors of the body and head, droopy posture, seizures, blindness, excessive thirst or droppings, regurgitation, weight loss, blood in the droppings, pale color of mucous membranes due to anemia and dark coloring to the droppings or excessively wet droppings. A veterinarian familiar with birds will start with a complete history, weight and a physical examination, and may evaluate the bird for crop stasis, which can be seen with lead poisoning."
How old is your GCC? They have a dive to learn to fly around weaning, and want to practice and beat those wings all the time.

It can also be that your bird is in to small a csge? They are more easily stresses and reactive if in a small cage. Or there us something causing thus, like achawk ir cat out tye window.

Being fluffed up is a big concern , that your bird could be sick. Burds hide and mask illness until they can't. When you see any symptoms the best course is to be checked out by an avain veterinarian.

Head bobbing can be a baby bird asking fir food. Or an adult bird asking for your attention. My Girl will do this if I make eye contact with her while in cage when she wants out and to be with me.

Have you contacted your Avian Medical Professional?
If you haven't, please contact them today, stating your Parrot is sick and it may be heavy metal poisoning! Push for a visit ASAP and clearly prior to this coming weekend...

Re: Conure going thru first moult? Plz help!

I did take my conure to d vet.. he did give some medicines (syrups) to mix it in d water n give. N now the head bobbing and puffyness is not Der. He told me to change the diet to how it was before as I had changed recently into multi grains .
The vet told it might be due to inproper diet or some viral infection, so he had given an anti biotics n one more syrup.
Now it's totally Normal.
The reason why I changed the diet was due to its poop...when I changed it did get a bit better ...but then since d puffy prob arose...I gotta change it back to d old one ( petslife fruit mix)
The poop isn't greenish dho...but I guess it's due to d fruit mix
The poop' s colour is in d colour of how human poop is .... Now this is my only concern...not knowing a way to change d colour.
I do give vegetables n fruits too
