Hey everyone, I noticed something a little different about Kiwi's poop today, SLIGHTLY URGENT PART: it was a normal color but their were no urates (the water around the poop learned that from google lol). My first thought was maybe he's dehydrated but that doesn't really make sense since he's been drinking water and water is always available. Also I'm not even close to an expert, so I would never make a medical "guess" and risk putting him in danger. Please tell me if this is normal or not because I've been pretty anxious about it :5_sad:. Oh and his poops have been normal since then. Should I forget about it since it's normal? Should I take him to the vet? He was acting completely fine and everything, very active and more or less a happy boy. Also what does it mean? Just to be extra clear his big morning poop was fine and the other ones were fine too. Please reply soon.
LESS URGENT: Another thing that happened today with Kiwi was during a zoom class, We were having a discussion and he started making these loud unhappy squawking noise, I was a little confused then He flew on to my key board tried to get my attention then onto me I started to stroke him and he stopped, and was showing me where to pet and everything it was adorable After that he was a happy boy and let me continue class, Is this a common behaviour? He's done it before too and as soon as I start to stroke him he stops. I peronally think he was a lil jealous or offended so I made SURE to apologize
When I researching conures I think I read that they are HUGE attention seekers but it was a while ago so I might be mistaken. Is this what they mean? Or does he think I'm neglecting him but I swear I'm not I spend all day with him and he's always my number 1 priority he lives on my shoulder (never against his will he flies up there), and is always out of the cage except of eating and sleeping the cage door is kept open during the day, and I really don't know what I'm doing wrong Its not bothering me too much, it's def not about the noise, and birds will be birds, but I just want him to feel loved Also please don't hesitate to call me out on anything I'm doing wrong, I'm extremely willing to learn, and open to any constructive criticism, I want to keep learning and growing to make sure Kiwi has the best life possible.
Please reply soon about the poop I'm really worried about it.
Thank you
Also: I can elaborate more on the poop if it's necessary, and if u have any more questions about diet etc I can totally answer them.
