Straw hatā€¦from craft storeā€¦doll size
Plastic or wooden spool
Chinese finger traps
Rubber ducky or other toy
Cotton rope
Assorted buttons, beads, toys, bells,
Grape ivy balls
Thick needle

Start at the top by threading 5 strings through the spool.
Leave about 3ā€ at the top because you will string beads on each one to secure so they wont slip thru the spoolā€¦on one make a loop for hanging the toy.
One string goes through the top of the hat and that one is for hanging the rubber duckyā€¦
Spread out the other four around the hat evenly and begin threading on beads. Knot between each bead.
When you get to the brim, pierce through and make a knot. Begin hanging the Chinese finger traps.
Below those you must hang something wider than the finger trap so they donā€™t slide off.
Continue down, creating your own design.
Finish with something you know will attract your bird

Basket of Fun

Natural wicker tray/plate
Cotton rope - cut approx 6ā€
Assorted toys to hang
Coconut shavings or any shredded material

Preening cotton rope side:
Fold the rope in half and feed the folded part through the side of the tray. Pull through and put the two ends through the loopā€¦.pull tight
Attach the shredded material somewhere on the tray. String beads and toys on paulie rope/cotton rope/sisal at different heights all over the tray.

Birdie Traffic Stopper

3 mini vine wreaths red, yellow, green
3 small wooden beads red, yellow, green
6 pony beads 2 red, 2 yellow, 2 green
Stainless Steel (SS) wire approx 15ā€ long
SS bell
Quick Link/Plastic Link for hanging

Tools: Wire cutters - Needle nose pliers

Take SS wire thread thru SS bell looping around self to hold bell in place. Take SS wire with bell and thread wire thru bottom of green wreath. Add 2 red pony beads and thread thru top of green wreath. Add green wood bead, then thread SS wire thru bottom of yellow wreath. Add 2 green pony beads and thread SS wire thru top of yellow wreath. Add yellow wood bead. Thread thru bottom of red wreath and add 2 yellow pony beads. Thread wire thru top of red wreath and add red wood bead. Loop top of SS wire to make a circle, trim wire as needed, add hanging link.

Munch Ball

KITTE Ball ā€“ Ikea ā€“ approx 5ā€ diameter
Plastic buttons & beads
Foam beads
Popsicle sticks
Wood wheels and balls
Pine cones
Hemp Rope
Peanuts and almonds to stuff inside
Quick Link/Plastic Ring for hanging

Tie hemp strings all around ball. You can make
this as full as youā€™d like. Thread on toys.
Knot securely. May want to knot in between toys
so if hemp is chewed, all the toys wonā€™t fall off.
Stuff ball with peanuts/almonds/whatever your
birdā€™s favorite treat is.

USE FOAM BEADS AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION

Colorful Wreths

3 Kids Plastic Bracelets
Colored Cotton rope ( I had 6 different colors )
3 Wooden Beads & 2 Smaller Wooden Beads
Long piece of thin cotton rope or twine
Plastic link
1- Prepare cotton rope. Cut into 7ā€ lengths, then unravel rope into 3 separate pieces (if using 6 colors you will need 4 - 7ā€ pieces of each color which will unravel into 12 pieces). Altogether you should have 72 pieces if using 6 colors.
2- Loop rope pieces onto all 3 bracelets.
3- Take long piece of twine, double it, and loop to bottom of one of the looped bracelets.
4- Add large wooden bead to the twine.
5- Take both pieces of the rope (the looping should have made 2 strings), tie knot near the top of the bracelet but not on the bracelet.
6- Take the 2 strings one on either side of the top of the bracelet, then add a small bead so that the string will be secured around the top of the bracelet, then tie a knot.
7- Take second bracelet and take string and separate having 1 piece on either side of bottom of #2 bracelet then tie a knot to secure on to #2 bracelet.
8-Bring the 2 strings together and thread a large wood bead on twine. Tie a knot near top of #2 bracelet and bring twine to top of #2 bracelet and separate the twine one on either side of top of #2 bracelet. Then tie a knot to secure to top of #2 bracelet.
9- Take third bracelet and Repeat steps 7 and 8.
10- At top of 3rd bracelet instead of adding a bead, make a loop for hanging. Add plastic or SS link.

Pretty good. I have to go back to Lowes to get the SS ones as we accidentally got zinc. They were in packages that looked exactly alike and right next to each other. Glad I looked at the packages! I'll post some pics tomorrow if I get a chance of how it looks now. Harley loves it!
