I was wondering if anyone on here makes custom toys and stuff, or knows of someone who does.

Surprised noone has answered. I know of several vendors that do custom toys. If you are still interested I can send you a list of a few. (I am not a vendor myself, nor am I at all affiliated with any. Just trying to help.)

I was also wondering that myself but in the San Diego area. I don't have a card or bank account to order online easily. It would be great to find someone locally! I was planning on heading out to a couple of pet stores here.

Folks it is so easy to make your own bird toys. I save every little item that will be safe for a bird, go to hardware stores, craft stores and goodwill stores, the baby dept. at Walmart is a good place. I also recycle old bird toys and sometimes order parts on line.

I don't really make any toys myself, but near Christmas I'm going to a toy making workshop associated with a bird rescue, so I can feel good about the money I spent on the class, and my little Kiwi gets a new toy!

Simple toys that require basic arts and crafts skills, or maybe even basic carpentry I can and often do do myself. I was hoping to get four free standing stainless steel dishes with natural perches all the way around them, which is well above my ability.

I think you could do it if you planned it out :) draw it first then figure out where screws and bolts need to go :)
