I want to make a mini feather duster as a toy for my conure using her feathers and budgie feathers....I collect them in an envelope. Anyone know what I should soak/wash them in?

Others here may offer a different opinion, but, I don't think you have to do anything to them. My birds chew up and play with their own shed feathers. And sometimes each others' feathers. I had a GCC that saw a feather drop out of my Cockatoo's cage. He swooped down on that, and flew around with it like it was some kind of trophy. He kept it for about a week, and would parade around with it very often. When he wasn't holding it, he would "hide" it under his water bowl, and look for it immediately when he returned to his cage. And then one day, he chewed it up, and dropped it out of his own cage. So, unless they're soiled in some way, I'd just give them to them.
