Max has just discovered jigsaw puzzles. He loves the colorful cardboard that shreds in layers! The only thing is he is a bit demanding after he's demolished one piece and is ready for his next one. I'm trying to think of a simple way to make a toy out of them...

Maybe wrap cotton crochet thread around the nobby bits? They're really too small and thick to string down the center.

Any suggestions?

You could try putting them in some kind of a small box/bag so he would need to hunt for them as if they were food.

That's the exact "kong" he has. So I grabbed some crochet cotton from the sewing stash and 5 min later had about 12 pieces tied together....I think it was successful!

Mishka loves puzzle pieces BUT I had to remove them from her.
She was chewing them and swallowing the pieces.
Probably thought it was food.
I DON'T THINK SHE GOT THE "PICTURE" LoL
Great day

AD I have one of those forging toys in the photo. They are good but mine has some bites out of the rubber. Very easy to get something in it or through it.

Max was so enamoured with his puzzle pieces and the new coffee filter toy I made for him, he didn't want to come out of his cage all day yesterday. He did, however, want me to sit in the room with him. Unfortunatley, I had a ton of housekeeping to do and a dinner party that evening. He made sure I knew he was annoyed with me. But when we got home about 9:30 last night, even though it was past his bedtime, he came out of his cage, supervised while it got coffee ready for the morning all the while chirping sweetly and gave me a kiss goodnight. Do you suppose he was appologizing for being difficult?

I asked my husband to drill a hole through a stack of them, then separated them and strung them on one of his old toy chains. He's "killed" it several times so far.
