I wanted a shower perch for my IRNs, but our shower is mosaic tiles and the usual suction cup perches wouldn't work. So I made this freestanding one from PVC pipe. The hardware stores around here don't sell any fittings that join 4 pipes, even though I am sure I've seen other people using them.

And here's a video of Flash and Crash using it in the shower. It was Flash's first time getting enthusiastic about a shower.

Yeah! Same! Even Bunnings doesn't have a four-way pipe connector. It limits what we can do when we build our playgyms. I had a look on ebay.com (as opposed to ebay.com.au) and their fittings are still imperial, so wouldn't fit our metric pipes. Buggerit!

I love your free-standing arrangement - sadly it wouldn't work for me as our shower is over the bathtub, which is tiny (4'6"). Instead, I've put an extra towel rail in with vetwrap on it. It works, but the Beaks won't sit on it when the shower's going. Only the squishy bottle will do. Buggerit again!

Not that it helps if your birds won't go in the shower with the water on, but you could do a 4 legged perch like mine, that had different length legs to fit over the edge of the bath. 2 legs inside and 2 legs outside.

And I just found this...
