The spruce branches I collected are quite 'sappy'. Any ideas on how to clean the sap of the branch...and my hands...argh, dangnabbit...also from my phone now!

I've heard of 2 methods:

1. Rub Vaseline on the sap, then wash thoroughly with soap and water.

2. Use rubbing alcohol (Isopropyl), it evaporates completely.

Mayo will cut it very well. And makes for a tasty tree branch sandwich!!:D

Oh gee, thanks Capsteve. All my life I felt the hankering for a tree branch sammich....

Getwozzy - I don't think my phone will enjoy the butter plan but I will do it for my hands.

Gotta buy some rubbing alcohol.

The isopropyl alcohol's also good for cleaning glass, if you have any left over :) It was standard issue for many years in my work for cleaning instruments (weather stuff).
