My wedding is less than a month away. And I've been looking for a simple forage toy that will keep Lizzy occupied while we're gone for three days. We've got someone coming three times a day to check on all of the kids, but she still won't get as much out of cage time as she's used to. I've been wracking my brain for a few weeks trying to find one that my sitter could easily refill when Lizzy goes through it. I usually make my own out of cardboard, straws, paper and treats but I wanted one the sitter wouldnt have to build herself.
Well we were at Lowes a few days ago and saw those suet feeders for about $2. I squealed excitedly in the middle of Lowes (causing my fiancee to pretend she didn't know me haha) and grabbed the last one they had. I'm sure this isn't a new idea, but it works in a pinch! I stuffed it with strips of colored paper and a few well hidden treats. This is it after Lizzy took most of the treats out.
