Tonight I decided to refurbish Chili's boing because it was old and the rope was starting to separate...
So I stripped the rope and wood caps off, re-used the wire and added new rope that I dyed by spritzing it on with a spray bottle (see link below for how to make your own bird safe dyes).
I also added PVC caps instead of wood because she's a chewer. The whole process was easier than I expected, and for about $5.00 I have a brand new boing
I like the (un-intended) tye-dye effect that was a result of spraying different colors lol
I'll be doing another "special edition" boing next week and will take pictures and make a tutorial if anyone is interested.
