safe building advice?

i want to mke a play tree out of some crape murtle branches but id like to use screws to hold them together is there a special screw i can use?
i know not to use zinc.
but is there like a specific glaze screw im suppose to use?

Stainless steel, to make it safer, try wrapping Vet Wrap or seagrass around it to make it harder for your bird to get at.

Lowes or Ace hardware will have a better selection of SS screws than most other places & if you plan to use a power drill to drive the screws, be sure to pilot drill your screw holes or you will twist out the Phillips heads, SS heads are a bit on the soft side for Phillips drive bits & it's best to go pretty slow when driving the screw, but too slow can snap off a head...snap one or two & you'll understand what I mean.....good luck with your project.....
