We are having a bit of a cold spell and Zeki decided that the tv is a perfect heated perch, that talks to him.

We have hand towels clipped to the back of all the computer monitors for the same reason. But the tv is too big for clips. I need to figure out something that can go on and be easily replaced daily.

He is not going to be convinced that it's not his place. It's taken me over month to keep him off my keyboard and he still sneaks up on it if I leave it alone and poops on it really quick.

On the fun side he's learned to say Pretty bird and Zeki is a good boy

Pics of the TV.... Size?

Personally I'd build a shelf that fits over the top, but the design would be very model-specific.

Batteries died on the camera, but it's a 42 inch jvc

Would you attach to the wall or make some kinda bracket to set it on the tv itself?

Again, depends on the TV and how you have it setup. Mine for instance, sits in a corner, so building into the wall would be impossible without it being very gaudy. So I'd probably just build lips into a small board that would cover/protect the top/screen, secure it with something like 3m double-sided tape, and leave it. If it's close to or on a wall, I'd just install a basic shelf as a cover for the TV. Something like that.

Ours is not against a wall either. It's the backside that is getting pooed on. Perhaps I'll get some velcro and put it on a strip of fabric that can be attached and removed easily. I think the way we have our tv that a shelf might make it difficult to watch.

I like Tom's shelf idea. Good thing Zeki's cute huh? Looks like he's wearing a vest with his new colors coming in :). He says Zeki is a good boy, how cute. Can he maybe learn Zeki is a naughty boy? lol

I keep telling him he's a naughty boy, but he has ignored that phrase entirely. I've also tried to teach him that Zekie is a pest. I've offered him the idea that starling stew sounds tasty as well.

Speaking of naughty he found the little water fall thingy we have in the house. The bottom is full of small rocks and he likes to remove them and drop them on my husband when he's playing video games. Nothing better than getting some reactions from the flock.

LOL I always get a good laugh from Zeki's antics :). He makes the most active and mischievous parrot seem mild! That would be hilarious if he caught on to the phrase "starling stew sounds tasty" :D
