People probably think we are crazy!!!!!

I want to know who else goes shopping, and finds themselves in the pet dept. trying out the strength of the doggie toys? (tug of war is one, becasue she likes tug of war) Yesterday, we were in Walmart (A Mexican Walmart, so not one bird toy to be found) so we start looking over all the dog toys, and pulling and squeezing and wondering how long they will hold up, in a Macaw beak!!!!!! We did find one, that a treat goes in, and then we have to get the strongest hook, to hook on the cage!!!!!! She had MUCH rather try to figure out how to get the hooks and key rings off the toys, then play with the toy themselves....We just can't imagine how she spent her days, without anything in her cage but a perch, because her mind seems to NEVER stop working.....We are finding ourselves sitting for HOURS, just watching her and her antics......She had MUCH rather be hand fed, pellet by pellet, then eat herself.....she will come down for each morsal.

And today my dad asked me what I want for Christmas...I said a gift card to pets mart. Or to Amazon so I can get some pet supplies. He said no for yourself..I said what do you mean? This is for me I replied..laughing a bit. He didn't think I was funny,but non pet owners don't get it. I'm just going to return your gift and get something for the "kids" anyways.

I've bought toys from the dog department for my parrots as well, in fact, just got one for a hanging rope dangle toy for my new boy. Of course, I've also bought dog toys for my kids when they were little too... my son's first ball was a doggie football you could record a message on. Really, a recorded message on a soft ball for a dog?!? but they last a lot longer than the kiddie toys LOL.

That is funny about the ball.....
