Re: Step by step guide to a Parrot Pinata

Ok I made 5 pinatas last night and they are coloured in all different colours waiting to dry. I am a bit nervous about the balloon popping thou. I did not have disposable gloves so my hands were blue, pink, green, yellow and red!

If you cut just below where you tied the knot with scissors, there's no pop!

I can't WAIT to see pictures of a much more artistic one that mine!!!

Thanks for the advice and please no, artistic is the LAST thing that I am!
Even my face had a green stripe, my kitchen floor and counter (although I used a towel and tray) are a disaster!

I must say thou, Sterretjie enjoyed picking the dried flour off my arms and hands. She did it so gently I was shocked!

Re: Step by step guide to a Parrot Pinata

Wait a minute! You are saying cut NOT POP? I've been standing ready with my needle since last night!

Ok so I have to swop the needle for a scissor.

Re: Step by step guide to a Parrot Pinata

hahaha! You'll be being accused of being an ALIEN with all that green!!!!

So much fun to make though!

Yes, if you cut it there - no big pop sound, just a nice quiet hiss

Ok so here are my drying pinatas, they are about 95% ready. The colours were much brighter before it started drying.

Wow, it IS a long wait!

But it was really fun to make, I cant wait to see my girl enjoy them!
