Are these cute or what? I couldnā€™t resist this book, even though it is all in Japanese. Itā€™s a book of instructions to make these tiny finger sized parrots. There are diagrams, and my niece speaks some Japanese so I have a chance at success. But the photo uploaded insists on rotating the image sideways.

Great photo! Should be something in English as my dear mother had created a couple of Amazons some years ago.

Internet translator - have fun!

I couldn't find the book online but this stuff is called amigurumi, there are a lot of similar books like this available in English.

The stitches should be easy to follow, but this may help you out!

If you need help translating, I can help though it's been about 10 years since I've spoken Japanese regularly. Don't rely on Google translate because you'll get some really bonkers results.

Oh, this helps! There are charts for each bird, and pictures of the stitches, but this explains it a lot more.
