I'm leaving tomorrow and I need to get this done today so any immediate help I can get would be great.

I want to make some special treats for Lincoln so my parents have something special to give him while I'm gone other than just almonds. Right now the ingredients I have for it is leftover juice from his chop, water, a bit of flour, and lots of plain oatmeal. My concern is once I bake it it will just collapse and not stick together. I was thinking to use a makeshift oatmeal cookie recipe but I don't want to use eggs, sugar, or butter and those are p much all I'm missing from what I currently have. I was thinking of making some almond butter and mixing that in but I'm not sure if that would be enough to get it to stick together.

Tricky... I have no idea what you could do with that stuff. Yoda loves dried papaya bits and tiny bits of carrot (raw) as well as almond slivers of course.

Sorry I'm not much help. :-/

Well, I'll just go with what I have I guess and worst case scenario I have something to sprinkle on his chop to brighten his day a little

Awwwwwwwwwwwwww. I LOVE how you're seeking to brighten your darling's time without you...

I'm a big believer in natural veggies. Great colors, shapes, sizes. I feed no onions or avocados.

There's no substitute for YOU, though, but you'll be back soon. :)

Unfortunately Lincoln normally won't touch most fruits and vegis unless they're an unrecognizable pulp. But he enjoys oatmeal and almonds so I thought making essentially the bird equivalent of oatmeal cookies with some almond butter he would really enjoy

Here's a pic my mom sent me yesterday along with the caption "I think he likes the cookies more than his actual food"

Good luck!

I cooked mine at 350 for 20 minutes. They ended up being a little moist in be middle still so they're being refrigerated but I'm sure if the time / temp were adjusted that factor would be removed.

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Most of my birds love plain cooked oatmeal! So I've made various treats and cookies that have minimal ingredients. Sometimes a bit of mixed fruit juice or finely grated nuts. Am going to try mixing in the Harrison's pellets that have been pulverized but not eaten.
