Hello guys.

I have heard that you can make a "collar" (if thats what it calls). Usually you use them on dogs and cats so they dont lick in their sar. So can anybody tell me how to make one for a feather plucking parrot. :)

The first step for feather plucking is to rule out a medical reason for the bird doing so. That means an avain vet visit. If you have done that and the diet is that of healthy food and pellets then the vet should talk to you about the collar. Now I think it is a soft one sort of like a turtle neck sweater.

It was actually my vet who gave me the advice to give her a collar. And im trying one she gave me right now, and it seems to work fine. But have any of you tried a bird collar before, and does it work when you tried it :)
