Two days!!

This sunday at noon, we will be picking up our little girl, a four year-old SI ekkie--name yet to be determined. That's in two days people! TWO!! I've been stock piling treats for her in the car ride and even more toys; she's gonna be one spoiled birdie!

There is one thing though that's worrying me. The apartment we are in smelled strongly of smoke when we moved in about a month and a half ago, so we've been trying to air it out. It's too hot here now to leave the windows open so the air has been on. That has been smelling too though, making us buy odor absorbers. I know birds can be sensitive to air freshners and what not, but I was hoping these would be alright. Here's the information on the product, hopefully some of you guys will have some insight. If not, I'll just toss 'em.

We've already replaced the filters, but it STILL smells!! Both of us are non-smokers and can't stand it. We steamed the carpet twice already and it helped a bit, but yikes!

And I just picked up some peanuts in shell for her She'll be cracking 'em open the entire 4 hour ride home!

Pictures will start flooding in sunday night, monday morning at the latest! I'm going to leave her cage door open monday while I'm in the room if she wants to come out. Not going to pressure her at all

lol darling little lucy is fantastic depending on who you ask! haha I think she's grumpy today. She's preening quite a bit... A LOT actually and she follows me around whenever i walk away. I think she's mad at me for not letting her eat my necklace lol

smoke be trapped in furnishings so try washing what you can etc, i had to when i stopped smokin in my house an the smell stayed for ages grrr

My bird is grumpy today because he woke up in the middle of the night because his cage cover fell off He just sceeches over and over when I take him out of the cage so I'm letting him take a nap for a bit lol.
