Can i keep a love bird with female ekkie....Will they get along if i get the love bird? Do ekkies do well with another bird?

There is this cut 8 weeks old lovebird available and i am going to go see it tomorrow. Even if they stay in separate cages i want to make sure they get along together and play on the play pen of the huge cage we have for the ekkie. I thought since they are small in size it wont be too intimidating for her.
