I know that regurgitation usually means that your bird loves you. However, I am pretty sure Roxy just regurgitated on her tree, and I was nowhere near her. She seems fine otherwise, and is eating right now. Why would she do that?

PS-I know a dolphin that regurgitates because he likes being able to eat his food a second time lol Just thought I'd share that

I cannot say for sure why your bird is regurgitating, but the dolphin thing could be it- my lovebird used to regurgitate to taste his food again. He was a little piggie, and my mom's mashed potatoes would be regurgitated almost every time so that he could enjoy them again! He was in good health but was just a foodie. He lived for his "nummy-num."

It's funny that you said that because she was eating mashed potatoes at the time!

It might just mean that she loves her toy. As a child I had a budgie who used to regurgitate on his mirror and a plastic bird he sort of mate bonded with. He would do it on the plastic bird's beak as if he was trying to feed it.

I was just watching Roxy and she was full out regurgitating with the head movements and everything. It's always on the same spot, and she reaches it by sitting on her "boing." So, I moved the "boing." We'll see if this works.

I have also noticed that Roxy will sometimes just regurgitate in her mouth. For example, I will look over at her and she will be chewing out of nowhere when she hasn't eaten anything. And it's not beak grinding, she actually has something in her mouth. I have actually seen her do a little head bob and then start chewing. Any ideas on this?
