Does anyone feed dried or dehydrated vegetables to their Eclectus? and if so, where do you get it? I am searching for a good veggie mix I can add to Link's dry bowl. I think it will be especially benificial to have since my boyfriend and I may have to do some major traveling soon and would need to take Link. It is difficult to have to prepare fresh veggies or keep frozen in the car. :D

You might want to consider investing in a high quality dehydrator and dehydrating them yourself. Just a thought. I have one and it's awesome.

Yeah, mine loves that stuff as well. Adds much needed natural vitamins to their diet.

i was looking into buying a dehydrator but a lot of dried fruit is not really good as it makes the sugar content in the fruit higher

I don't recommend feedng dried fruits to eclectus. They do much better healthwise on a fresh fruit & veg diet. However in the short term i don't think it would do to much harm but it would be better to also add some fresh foods as well.

Thanks for the replies. I ended up finding a great veg. mix on Dr. Harvey's website.

@ Pedro- Yes, I know that Eclectus require a fresh diet for optimum health. My bird's diet is almost 90% fresh foods (vegs, fruits, cooked beans, sprouts, etc). I'm not interested in a dried fruit blend, either... As I have that. The dried veg. mix would be for times when I cannot remove fresh stuff before spoiling and/or on long travel where preparing fresh is not easy to do.
