Ok when I rescued my girl from a bird show, I knew she had a crop infection and was on a very poor white seed only diet. She definately has liver issues as her feathers have dark spots. I have had her on a proper diet for the past 4 months I have owned her. I have searched valiantly to find the lily of the valley aloe detox to no avail. Well HOORAY I found some ! Can anyone offer any dosing suggestions ( amounts to dose )? I will not begin this detox until after she has finished her round of antibiotics for her 2 crop infections. I will also check with her vet when she comes to clear her for the crop issues before begining this detox.:red1:

i am the mom of three parrots:
Dorothy- African grey (cag)
Bowie- blue and gold macaw
Nellie- hyacinth macaw
Reggie- hyacinth macaw
Marnie- white bellied caique
I have never heard of this and would absolutley run it by the vet. I think if I can remember correctly Lilly of the valley is something that is poisonous for our dogs and cats.

brianlinkles ,Here are some articles I found on it:
Winged Wisdom Pet Bird Magazine - Kitchen Physician V - Herbal Remedies For Parrots and Pet Birds
Land of Vos - General Care and Information Articles/Talk/Weaning/Aloe/General/Entertainment
This one mentions Lily of the valley aloe detox
Liver Disease / Fatty Liver in Birds
I was very lucky to find this product, as it is no longer available from the manufacturers website, and yes I checked it is still in date ( not expired ).

So I guess in finding these articles I answered my own question
