Male Eclectus- Oscar and Female Eclectus- Scarlet
I Have wondered how Scarlet would go meeting new birds, or being in a new location, around other birds. Would she be aggressive towards them? Or would she be interested, or wanting to play?
Today we find out :)
Soon we will be off to a friends house, her mum owns a male Solomon island Eclectus, his name is Gilbert!
He sometimes hangs out out side in the aviary with her princess parrots, and Alexs, his friendly with other people, and other birds. Although everyone knows his the boss!

But I thought he would be a good candidate for Scarlet's first "date". Not only will it be interesting so see how she interacts with stranger humans, but also Gilbert. :)
Does anyone have any quick suggestions about today? I haven't had her around any other bird besides Ticka. So I'm not really sure what to expect! Let's hope this goes down well!

Mostly when you get a new bird, you'd quarantine for a month or two...

I suppose, if you both do vet checks for diseases, you should be OK..

Scarlet gets bet checks regularly, so does Gilbert, I wouldn't be taking her to a house with birds if I didn't know they were healthy. I go there a lot, she is fantastic with her birds and other pets too :)
