I came home from work today and played with Gaia for a while before going to work on some class work. Everything seemed fine and she was talking with her normal squawks so I fed her dinner of fresh mixed veggies as I usually do. When I came back downstairs about two hours later she was trying to talk to me but these measly little squeaks were coming out. She has lost her voice? I kept talking to her and encouraging her to talk back and still all she can manage are these little squeaks. She didn't make a peep while I was working on homework so I don't know what happened. Can anyone shed some light on this I'm extremely worried. Thanks!

I'm sure its nothing to be worried about. Our birds make a variety of sounds.

I agree with Chikoo, there are days when all Nalani does is give kissing noises. Not a single word or scream. But, then there's random days when all she'll do is scream her head off or speak nonstop. Usually if I don't give her a lot of attention, the next day she'll definitely speak her mind and drive me crazy with her squawks all day long. If I give her some of her favorite foods and toys she'll talk all day long happily without a single scream. It just depends on her mood for the day. hehe I welcome the silence, gives my ears a break every now and then. :p
