WOOHOO Ceasar Flew for the first time today.

Thankyou everyone who suggested the Aviator Bird Harness to me.
It arrived today and my Ekkie had no problem with me putting it on(thank god).
So off to the park we go and even though his wings had been clipped by the breeder he, for the first time in his life FLEW!!.
It was a special moment between us even though he only flew 4 times he was gasping for air so I brought him home straight away. probably cause he has never used his wing muscles.
I just wanted to share this moment and if it wasn't for the advice I got on this forum I would never of got the harness.
Thankyou thankyou thankyou!!:green2:

That's awesome! For the first few weeks you'll want to keep flying to a minimum so he can gain his strength, and remember that his wings may be achy the next day so don't push him. Make the harness something fun for him, that way he'll be excited to put it on :)

Amazing news!!

Thanks guys.
I hope ,Strudle, that your bird takes to the harness as quickly and with the least battle scars.:)
Copperarabian I totally understand .Today was a big day Caesar Flying and all. So tomorrow I will put the harness on and just let him walk around the back yard with no flying involved
Thanks

There is a trick I used I must come clean..
I placed Caesar in front of YouTube for about half hour per day leading up to the Harness arriving so he must of picked up on it.
It was a random thing that I was trying as my computer screen is massive.

To be honest, I'm not pushing it. I'm more focused on getting her to poo in her potty at the moment. We'll get there one day, hopefully.

(Sometimes I wonder which of us is the pet and which the owner.... I know who rules the roost in my house, and it sure isn't me.)

Hahaha oh yea the lorikeet is the worst cause he makes this god awful sound that is just horrid like the highest piched creaking door noise so loud lol! And nevermind dogs when someone comes by the house my blue crown and macaw scream their heads off to tell me someomes here! And of course the lovebirds will make noise all day long practically.

OMG. He has walked down his ladder to his cage and is standing at the screen door. This is new behaviour for him as his play gym is on top of his cage built in. So funny :32:
LOL he keeps looking at me as if to say "c'mon lets go!!.
I think once is enough for one day.
Spose I could let him have a walk in the back yard more practice getting the harness on and will enrich his mind.:green2:
