Has anyone tried Featherific?

My boyfriend and I have read about Featherific and were wondering if it's safe for Eclectus. When we got Scarlett she was plucking badly because she was missing her owner who passed away. Some of her plumage has come back but when she's hormonal she plucks also.
Want to know if it's safe and also effective.
Thanks! :)

I noticed that over 60 people read this thread of mine but nobody responded. Has anyone heard of Featherific? It is a product by Avitech that is supposed to help feathers grow back.
Don't want to use it unless I know others have tried it.
Anyone?

If I remember right someone bought this very product and had issues with it but I'm not positive as I need to do search from my computer as I can't search off my phone. There's guests that view your post too that's not able to respond unless they sign up! Be patient as people will reply if someone knows of the product.

Doesn't really do anything for plucking. A better product by the same company (avitech) is called "feather-in" . It's a powder, colloidal oatmeal. Very moisturizing, it mixes with water for a topical spray. It says to rinse, but the best effects are when you don't rinse. When birds skin starts be be exposed it gets more dried out, causing a viscous circle of irritation. It soothes the skin tremendously, I've used it with success. Especially useful for winter pluckers. Featheriffic is a bit hard to administer, and if a bird has pellets in its diet it may be too much vitamin. It looks like sawdust. Some birds like it, others won't go near it. It's a crap shoot. But the product in and of itself does not stop plucking.

Hi and thanks for your response! I think I'm going to try the other "Feather-in" that Kalidasa suggested. Sounds like that may be good for Scarlett.
She's 13 and has a bare neck that's probably been like that before we got her. We've only had her a couple of months.
Thanks again!

Hi Kalidasa~thanks so much for the info you gave me! I'm going to get the Feather-In and see how if it helps. Scarlet is a beautiful bird, just missing quite a few feathers on her neck and some on her chest.

Hi all.....ordered some Featheriffic and also Avicalm as I've researched them and heard they have great results when used together.
Will keep you updated on Scarlett! :)

Hi all.....Scarlett has been on the Featheriffic and Avicalm for over a week now. We are noticing only a slight change in her mood. She's a little less aggressive but not much and still think it's hormonal. Some days she's very friendly and calm, others she's mean and lunges especially at Mark.
She loves the taste of the Featheriffic when sprinkled on her food. We see pin feathers coming in and little gray fluff that wasn't there before.
Will keep you updated.
