Updates on Gomez and Lola

Lola is doing well and still really bonding mostly with my husband, he gets her out everyday which has been a big help to me. She continues to warm up to me and I think having my hubby be kind of a bridge between us has helped tremendously!

Gomez has made truly amazing progress and just a wonderful transformation. I have moved his cage into the bird room and he is comfortable with the others. He and Gidget hung out the other day, touching each others beaks and tongue touching. He isn't aggressive towards the rest of the flock at all. Lola is still in the living room as she doesn't seem to keen on meeting anyone else and introducing girls to each other seems to present more problems than the fellas.

Gomez will now sit with me upwards of an hour with no issues, no shaking or wanting to get off. In fact when I put him on the java tree he hangs out for a little while and then flies down to the floor and walks over to me. He is great at kisses, is talking more and really learning how much fun it is to tear up toys and play! I am so shocked and pleased thinking how far he has come from the terrified, shaking boy he was at the woman's house and when he first got here.

It's SO great to get such an awesome update on both Gomez and Lola. :)

They are SO lucky to have found you - and vice versa, of course. ;)

Can I ask a wee favor? Please, pretty please with sugar on top...can we have some pictures? :D

I am so thrilled to hear how well they are both doing:) You did such a wonderful thing by getting them away form that woman who used them as decor.
I would also LOVE to see pictures!!!

So glad to hear they're doing well! It's good that the girl can find some comfort in your husband, but still make progress with you. :) I agree with the others- I think some pictures would be *fantastic* :)

My Mimi took quite some time to warm up to us. It seems the females are more reserved. I could handle her after a month but it took several months for the rest of the family. Even now if she doesnt want to socialize she wont allow it. These girls of ours are certainly divas for sure. Im so glad that they are adjusting though. Patients will win her over adventually.
