Finally home!!!

Here he is! This is Kodie, my new Solomon Island Eclectus baby. I finally after talking and thinking it over took a boy! I still want a girl because they are beautiful, but the guys are just not as moody as the females as pets. There are a few girls that are really softies, but as im new to the whole ekkie thing, rather stayed on the save side.

To Post pics, have you got anything like www.photobucket.com it is a free photo hosting site and is really easy to use. There are a few about but this is the one that I use. If you have then you copy the URL of the picture, then hit
insertimage.gif
this button and paste your photo URL in there and click enter. If you still have problems you could email me your pics and I would be happy to post them for you. If you need any help with this then please ask and we will do everything we can to help you, We so love pics here.

Re: Finally home!!!

Also if its easier you can go to the Photo Gallery and post some pics there, you can upload them straight from your computer. That might be easier for you if you don't have a photo hosting site.

Re: Finally home!!!

They are such lovely little birds, and the feathers are wonderful. I would love one, but it wouldn't stop at one, I'd end up with about 10 :D

Re: Finally home!!!

O, sorry forgot to post back on this one. He's 4 months old and weaned!:60: Thank goodness, because i hear they wean slow and are full of nonsense. Just had to wean him off his baby food in the evenings for one week.

We have the Solomon, Red sided and Vosmaeri what i know of available here. Maybe there's more, would let you know when i find out more! Anyway, he is a expensive little fella, cost me R 2000  (thats ZA- Rands), so if you guys in the UK or Hawaii or the states were to buy one in South Africa, it wont be as much for you. But still with birdflu and regulations, it will cost more.

We have'nt got any websites on these birds that they host in SA, but there are some other nice birdie sites i will post if some-one was interested in something this side!!!

Allright im yatting again! Sorry, but hope all have a great day!!!

Heres a few more big pics on him!!! He's been a real bugger, looks like we cant touch him when his in his cage, just want to nibble/bite fingers. But a real sweety when he's out, guess his a little overprotective of his cage!!LOL!

Anyway, talk to you soon!

Re: Finally home!!!

He is beautiful, and just look at those colours.

Bucc is very cage aggressive, but only when he's out. Try to touch him or his cage when he is out and you have to keep a close eye on him or you'll get bitten. :) Have had a few of them when I'm cage cleaning and am not quick enough, :D Its usually my own fault, as I know what he's like yet sometimes I get a little careless.
